Dr. Saryu N. Dixit, Professor Emeritus, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, USA, has been working tirelessly with the purpose of relieving the sufferings of the Hearing Impaired and Handicapped children in India.
o
Professor Dixit is the founder of the Jyoti Children’s Development Foundation Inc and has primarily been responsible for its fundraising. Funds from the Jyoti Foundation, raised from numerous donors, have purchased the land, built the school building, and provided the school with special equipment required for children with special needs. In addition, the Foundation has been fortunate in getting support from Rotary Clubs and the Volkart Foundation who purchased the three buses which are now used to transport children from their homes to the school. Managed entirely by volunteers the Foundation ensures that nearly 100% of funds collected are spent on School activities. Know about our governing board
